This time two years ago I was finishing up my senior year of high school. It’s weird that it’s already been two years but I also feel like I have been out of high school for longer than that. I wasn’t all that sad to be graduating from high school. I did become sentimental about certain aspects of high school and memories that I made while in there but I was excited about my future. The thing I knew I would miss most was playing volleyball for Mountain View. It made me a little sad to think I would never play volleyball with my teammates again.
One of my favorite memories about graduation is how my sister, Teresa, worked so hard so that she could be there. Teresa and Grant had moved to Phoenix and I really wanted them to be there at my graduation. Teresa and Grant both tried to find flights out to see it but Teresa was the only one who could make it and Grant got stranded in some city in Texas. I was so happy to have my sister at my graduation and really appreciated everything both of them went through to have Teresa there. Graduation day was great. My parents were so sweet and bought me a beautiful star sapphire ring that I wear everyday. My Grandpa White and my dad both have star sapphire rings so it’s fun to have one like them. My really good friend Chiaki lived in Japan during graduation but she had flowers delivered to me on graduation day. It was a great day.
