BYU's best but hidden class is called Plant and Wildlife Science 112 ... aka FLORAL DESIGN! Yes my blog reading friends I get school credit to learn about flowers and then create beautiful arrangements.
So to show off just how cool the things I'm learning are, I've taken pictures.
This is my bud vase from straight on.
Isn't that the coolest gerbera daisy eva?
This is it looking down cause I love it.
[Those yellow and green button mums ... yeah a favorite of mine]
So this design isn't one I did in class. I did it at home with flowers I bought. Remember that terribly tragic story about the family from Layton that had two of their daughters die from inhalation of the material that was put down in their yard? Well, my dad is very close with the grandpa of those sweet girls. Absolutely heartbreaking. Well, I made this next flower arrangement for my dad's friend and the family.
Here it is straight on.
My kitchen makes a great studio, don't you think?
And here it is from above so you get a good viewing of the beautiful lilies.
It was a neat experience to be able to make this for someone and have it hopefully mean something.
I would post pictures of my oriental design I just did, but well my pictures didn't turn out so I might do it later or I might not. Just know it's neat-o.
